having fun with Penny Black dies!
Hi Everyone!!
Hope your all having an excellent start to your day! I have just returned from the Doodlebug, where I spent my morning making some new samples for the store. It gave me a chance to play with some of the new Penny Black dies, and it was awesome! Yeah, looks there are going to be a few more additions to my growing collection!
The first card was made with cardstock, and the Tim Holtz distress ink. I also used a couple of stencils, for some added interest.
I then used some book pages, and the dies along with some more distress ink to complete the card front. ( I did the stitching holes by hand, but I think next time I will run them through my sewing machine, and save myself the grief! ) I did like the finished result, and think that it made a pretty good card!
The second card was similar, made with cardstock, the dies, and some distress ink. I like the overall result, and can think of a few other ideas for these as well! Definite love for the four square background...I love those dies!!
If you're interested in any of the dies, the Doodlebug has them in stock now, you can give them a call, and get one held for you, or there is a link to their online site to the right of my posts! Any questions, just let me know!!
** (for anyone wanting to make these exact cards for yourself, these are samples I made of cards that were featured on the back of the die packaging. You will have pics of the cards when you buy the dies. )**
Thanks everyone!!
Now, go create something!!
